Jacob Gadzella
With roots in Blaine Lake, Saskatchewan, Jacob Gadzella grew up on the East side of Saskatoon.
Jacob studied Visual Communications Design at the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary, but returned to Saskatoon to work as a graphic designer before moving into a digital communications role with Affinity Credit Union in 2019. He recently completed his Master’s in Business Administration in Community Economic Development through Cape Breton University and is looking forward to helping his communities thrive.
Jacob is very active in sport. He has been fencing for over twenty years and advocates for cycling as a viable mode of active transportation. He has volunteered with the Bridge City Bicycle Co-op and sat on the board of the Saskatchewan Fencing Association. He currently is an assistant coach with the Prairie Fencing Club in Saskatoon.
With true Saskatchewan spirit, Jacob believes in local community organizing and is a strong supporter of local co-operatives. In addition to being an active member of the Saskatoon Co-op, Steep Hill Co-op, and Affinity Credit Union, he is an advocate for unions and was a shop steward with UFCW Local 1400. Jacob believes in grassroots organizing and believes that communities can work together to find solutions to problems. Jacob will fight to help his communities come together to tackle housing, healthcare, and the climate crisis.
